Alberta Carbon Hub
There are projects happening today that give us confidence that Canada can meet its climate change commitments. We are excited to share these stories about the transition already underway in our industries.
The Alberta Carbon Hub connects companies and innovators working across the carbon-value chain and taking-action today to reduce emissions. We are sharing what we are doing with you, so you can get to know what’s happening in your own community. Real projects, meaningful emissions reductions—we’ve got this!
When you put us together, our projects are actively capturing emissions from different industries, demonstrating how carbon emissions can be put to work in different products or sequestered permanently in Alberta’s geology. Millions of tonnes of emissions are already being managed and avoided being release into our atmosphere. Our actions are making progress towards our climate change goals in a big way.
CCUS and Alberta’s Low-carbon Future
Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) is an imperative technology for the world’s net-zero goals. Alberta has what it takes to be a global leader in this growing sector because of its unique geological landscape, existing energy infrastructure and skilled energy workers. This video explores the potential for Alberta’s evolving CCUS industry – the innovation and technology that can be leveraged, the opportunity to make real strides toward emissions reduction, and the talent needed to make it all happen.
